Mubasher: Bahrain stock market’s benchmark extended its downward trend for the seventh straight session, falling 0.37% or 5 points on Sunday to close at 1,315 points.
Market capitalisation reached BHD 7.754 billion ($20.394 billion), compared with BHD 7.783 billion ($20.472 billion) on Thursday.
A total of 950,400 shares changed hands in 40 trades, at a turnover of BHD 120,600 ($317,200).
The banking sector was the biggest decliner with a loss of 0.90%, hurt by Al-Salam which plunged 8.7%. Khaleeji Commercial Bank also fell 4.7%, and National Bank of Bahrain was down 0.68%.
Meanwhile, the industrial sector rose 0.40%, boosted by Alba which closed 0.42% higher.
Alba was the most active with a traded value of BHD 43,000, after 89,000 shares were traded in 7 transactions.
